Passenger guide

Disabled:
The services on board for passengers of limited mobility materialize in the assistance of our qualified personnel on board and in the creation of equipments and services especially designed to facilitate this service.

Children:
The children between two and twelve years old will travel paying 50 % of the rate. Terms and conditions apply.

Invoicing tickets:
You can request an invoice for the expense of your tickets in our offices in Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, from 9 a.m. To 5 p.m. Monday to Friday

Transportation of domestic animals:
In accordance with the legal applicable dispositions, the transport of domestic animals will be exclusively in the spaces of the ships enabled to that effect. The blind passengers will be able to travel with their guide dogs, according with specific regulations and without any extra charge.

Baggage:
Baggage will be transported on the assigned zone without extra charge.

Meals and refreshments:
All the ships have a snack bar service with stewards. For more information please visit the bars.

RULES FOR THE HANDLING AND TRANSPORTATION OF LOADS IN THE CRAFTS OF THIS COMPANY.

1. Any bundle or packed wrapped properly will be considered to be a load admitted for transportation.

2. Any load considered as dangerous will be transported only and exclusively once that the captains of the craft have being informed of the materials contained and their authorization to do so.

3. There is considered to be a dangerous load any product that should mean a risk for the health, the balance of the environment or the safety and stability of the ship or it´s shipment. For example: Poisonous materials and flammables, chemical and corrosive, butane gas tanks, acetylene argon, etc., Fuels and lubricants, stretches of pipes, aluminum, copper, wood, etc., Any glass made product or any other considered fragile, Explosive or radioactive products, any kind of weapon, drugs or substances might be harmful to the health are absolutely prohibited. Any other material that represents danger for the passengers and the craft.

4. Any transportation of load has a charge that will be payable only in the Playa del Carmen pier.

5. The price of transportation of the load on board of the ships is based on a tabulator in accordance with the weight and volume of the load to be transported, the passenger wishing to do so will be able to consult the prices with the representative of the company in charge.

6. When your load is received there you will get a receipt needed to request an invoice for the expense or for any claim towards the company.

7. The company is not responsible for any damages or losses of the load in any of the following cases:

The Company is not responsible for the objects of value contained or deposited inside the load that are not declared and accepted in writing by the company.

? Cruceros Maritimos del Caribe is not in charge of the loading in to our crafts, this is a work that has to be done by the Working Mixed Grouping of Marine and Terrestrial Organization of Cozumel, CTM. This association is responsible for the loading. In case of any breakings or damage during the loading Cruceros Maritimos del Caribe is exempt from any fault, as well as of the loading charge. ? The Company and the Captain will not be responsible for the accuracy of the declaration done by the client on the weight, content, quality, state and other described circumstances of the load. The Captain or his representative write the receipts and other documents that proceed in accordance with the declarations that the receipts consist under the legend ? he/she says it contains?, so the company is not responsible for the contents . Any Harm or damage to the ship or it?s shipment for introducing prohibited goods by law, orders or regulations, under inaccurate declarations, will be responsibility of the load?s owner.

?The responsibility of the company with the load is only in the transport and it ends in the moment of the unloading, if the owner is not in the pier at the moment of unloading Cruceros Maritimos del Caribe will not be held responsible for any damage or losses.

8. Any claim should be done with immediate effect and filling the form with facts and before the customer leaves the pier facilities.

9. Any claim/ damage or loss of load, you will need to provide:

a. To bring it up to our representatives immediately and before leaving the facilities.

b. To fill the format of claim of load with the representative of the company.

c. To present his/her travel ticket.

d. To present the load receipt.

e. To present an ID

f. Invoices or notes of the load content.

HANDLING AND TRANSPORTATION RULES OF BAGGAGE

1. All high valuables will have to be removed from the baggage that will be handed to our personnel before initiating the trip.

2. Any valuable not removed from the baggage will travel under the passenger?s responsibility.

3. The hand luggage will travel under the passenger?s responsibility.

4. The company liability only covers 25 kg of baggage as traveler's insurance policy. RSA 030390100, Commercial America Insurers as stipulated on the ticket.

5. The limits of civil responsibility to the passengers and their belongings will be ruled by the Art. 127 of the Law of General Routes of Communication and its regulation.

6. Any claim that related to baggage will have to be done immediately informing the facts before the customer leaves from the facilities of the wharf.

7. The insurance policy protects the passengers during the trip and on board our crafts. Once off the crafts the insurance policy expires.

8. the company will hand back the baggage to the passengers in exchange for the baggage tickets (given to the passenger when handing the baggage at the origin of the trip) we kindly ask our customers to take care of the ticket to ensure a better service.

9. Any claim for damage or loss of the baggage will need of:

b. To fill the format of claim of load with the representative of the company.

c. To present his/her travel ticket.

d. To present the load receipt.

e. To present an ID
